I have two boys who are gaming fanatics. Every Christmas and birthday I look for gaming toys and gifts that they will love. Find below a tried and tested list of gaming gift ideas that my sons actually liked and used!
I've included items they use while they're gaming such as gaming chairs, headphones, controllers and a desk.
There are also many gaming themed toys, books and games to gently persuade them away from their screens at times.

Both my boys received gaming chairs for their birthday and as they sit on them everyday for every gaming session, they are their most used gaming gift.
Gaming chairs are also useful for comfortable seating when watching TV, listening to music, reading and relaxing. Many gaming chairs offer full back support and a head rest for comfort.

Both my boys talk to friends online and a pair of headphones with a microphone are great for this.

Headphones are also great for hearing every detail of the sound in their games (like enemy footsteps or the click of a weapon in the distance).
They cancel out environmental noise so they are also great to use when playing video games with friends.

My youngest son was thrilled when I bought 3 gaming posts, framed them with inexpensive frames and hung them in his room.
They look great and are perfect for any boy who want a gaming theme to their bedroom.

Another great item to have in a boy's gaming bedroom is a gaming themed light. There are quite a few out there!

It's also great to take camping, on vacation and play on the go.

Every time I ask my eldest to do anything, the response I get is "Can I just finish this game"
Therefore when I saw this sign, I had to get it for his bedroom.
